Tacoma MPG?

I'm looking for a 01-04 Tacoma double cab, not sure whether it will be 4wd or not. I'm just curious what kinda gas mileage you guys are getting? It will be my dd, and I've heard anywhere from 17-22mpg, which is about what I'm hoping for. Thanks!

Yes, bone stock, I was averaging a hair over 21MPG with 90% freeway and 10% city. All highway would probably be 22 and city's 17-18. Also, get the 4WD. Do it.

Just bought a 2004 Tacoma TRD OffRoad, Doublecab, automatic...getting 15-17 in town. Got 23 MPG on highway with a 300 mile roundtrip to Detroit last week and I had it in 4WD a few times!

2004 Tacoma 4WD TRD Xtra-cab 5-speed: about 18.5 mpg, mixed freeway/local.

04 Taco double cab 4x4 TRD 19.5 city/hwy 60/40 with 88 octane gas. It seems like I'll get about 1.5 or 2 mpg lower if I use 85 octane gas. Anyone else seen similar results with the different octanes?
