Lightbulb Tacoma lift on 99 4runner

I have heard that the IFS on the 99 tacoma and 4runners are the same. If this is true, would it be possible to use the Tuff Country 5" Tacoma lift for the front of the 4runner? I was thinking that I could use the TC lift in the front and coils/spacers/struts in the rear to get a complete 5" lift. Does anyone know if this is possible, practical, safe, etc.?

Check out SC4runner's profile (https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f79/sc4runners-profile-silver-96-a-34300/#post336214). Do not reply in that link btw as it is only for viewing purposes.

That should give you some ideas.

GOod luck

Yeah I would send a PM over to SC4Runner. I remembered seeing that on his profile a year back and he was helpful about answering my question. I think the only problem he said he had was trying to find long enough coils for the rears that would work. I'm not sure if he ever did find a solution to it.

He did. IIRC, he went w/ the LC coils plus spacers to even out the front.
