Tacoma, 4runner headers

What are the differance? Is it just the cross over pipe? I have a set for a Tacoma 3.4 but my brother wants to put them on his 4Runner and since he lives in another state I can't compare the two.

Could you please clarify your question(s)? It is kind of hard to figure out exactly what you want to know.

O.K. I have a set of headers for a Tacoma and want to know if they will fit on a 4Runner.

Thats what I was thinking and most of the sites I went on don't differentiate between the two. I just wanted to know for sure before I sent them to him.

The only differences that I know of are the downpipe flange for the cat, and the EGR system. Neither of which should affect you because you will have to cut and weld anyway on the 4Runner. The EGR bung will just get plugged off using your existing blocking plate.

I highly advise piecing everything together before you undertake this hellish install. Once you cut that crossover pipe, there is no turning back (unless you want to pull the motor).

Yeah Iv'e put on two sets already so I'm sure I will wind up putting these on too. It's pretty easy after you have done at least one. The easiest way to get the crossover out is to lossen up the tranny mount and jack it up it will give you a little more room.

Well even with a 1" BL I couldn't salvage mine. I just cut that sucker off - 2 hours later.
