If you want a good laugh go to any public boat landing on a summer weekend and watch people launch and load boats.

Last summer I watched a guy trying to get his boat off the trailer for 20 minutes, finally he pulls the boat and trailer to the top of the ramp and into the parking lot. He then proceeded to back down the ramp about 20 miles and hour and when the trailer got to the water he slamed on the brakes. The whole bumper was pulled off the truck and the bumper, boat and trailer went in the water.

To add a little flavor to bob's suggestion....

Take a few of your friends with you and bring large "score cards" and rate everyone as they launch their boats.

It's hilarious! My friends and I did that one summer. We had the largest group of people gathered around us laughing and having a great time. Something to do if your boat or pwc is out of commission for the day.

hahahaa

If you look close, they actually have the order backwards.. You can see the tow rope in #1 and #2.

I've seen this happen in swift running rivers with even worse results.

Yeah i know what yall mean about watching people at the boat ramp.....people who have any kind of watercraft or are planning on buying one....shouldnt have front wheel drive cars, suvs(fwd escape, CRV or others) or minivans....you think that they would learn....hahaha.....we have a cheap ole 2wd expedition with the small 4.6L v8 that has NO trouble whatsoever launching or pulling out a 4500lb boat.....even at the steepest of boat ramps.....

Just two weeks ago we were at the lake pulling our boat out of the water and some guy in a brand new doge caravan was TRYING to pull his boat out of the water....it started smoking his front passenger tire and his van, family and boat starting slipping back into the water.....me and my whole family (8 of us) practically jumped on to their hood.....hahaha.....it was really funny.....he told us he wasnt gonna be at the lake that next weekend....he was gonna be at the stealership...haha..

I remember one year I was there with a couple of my buddies and we saw a guy launching a huge boat into the water (looked like a Mastercraft or something), anyway, his truck (Ford Explorer), started to spin out, even in 4WD (apprently there was some algae or moss growing on the ramp...he eventually told this other dude that was with him to get in the boat and push the truck back up the ramp and to safety. That worked until finally the water got too shallow for the boat...so we hooked up and eventually pulled him out using my buddy's big 3500 Chevy. It was hilarious...i REALLY wish I had some score cards on me that time!!!

LMAO

WE went out last weekend fishing. Didnt cath too many cobia, but we did catch alot of small sharks. Anyways, right after we had our boat in the water and were leaving the ramp, a couple of guys in a big F350 backed a very large boat in the water. WE could tell it was a manual, cause we could here him struggling to get moving while trying to get strait on the ramp, he even stalled it. So he got it ready to take the boat off the the trailer when POP, something snapped on the truck, i guess it was his e-brake cable cause he started rolling into the water, the truck was about halfway under before he jumped through the window and got it stopped. it was quite funny, while at the same time bad, cause it woulda been a huge disaster to have his truck go under at the ramp.
