Suspension Gurus advice needed!

So I found out that my front driver side strut bushing is toast. I got some replacement bushings from Toyota, but I can't get the old bushing out. It seems like the old is rusted or otherways sealed itself to the strut loop.

So it looks like I will have to take it to a shop who will charge me a ton in labor. Therefore, would it be worth getting new shocks in the front while they have apart, and if so how great are the oem shocks should I want to upgrader my bumper with a TJM 17?

All replies are greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Carsten
PS I have 80K on the 3rd gen SR5, 1999, 4wd

Cut it out. You have the new one. I had to cut mine out and hammer the new one in.

I tried using as chisel (sp?) but I have no way of cutting it out. I guess you need some new tools for that, but which?

Bump!
If I decide to change suspension, then KYB, Bilsteins or oem. I mainly stay onroad but do occassionally go offroad (I would like a good allround setup).

Thanks,
How much firmer are the Bilsteins. I would like greater stability compared to stock but not feel every little rock on the road (like an old covered horse wagon).
