suspension

OK

My suspension sucks. My 1998 4runner looks dope, it is absolutely beautiful with all the exterior and interior stuff I have done. Unfortunately, it rides like crap. It is so damn bumpy I dont know what to do. Can someone please recommend a solution to this problem. I hate driving around with a 4runner that jumps all over the road.

Are you wanting to lift or just ride better?

If you are only interested in the ride quality but not taking it off-road, I have heard that the adjustable shocks made by Koni really shine for a smooth ride. However they are not made for wheeling.

If you are interested in a good on/off-road set-up the Bilsteins would shine here, but don't give the cushy ride of the Koni.

lift

I would like to get 1-2" of lift as well, but I am most concerned about the bumpiness and the jumpy ride of the vehicle.

Well you can choose 1" progressive springs with bilsteins all around...that would give you a nice ride.
