supercharger and trd 7th injector questions

True that is a problem but for me the extra $1000+ is worth a little time. That is the VB job on the tranny or the 7th injecter kit or the tourqe converter. but if you have the $$ go for it!

the bigger question for me is, is 150k miles too many to add a s/c? I'm thinking it is, but when I add it, I will be prepared for an engine or tranny overhaul. Which would be a bittersweet thing to do.

Depends on how well the engine has been taken care of. Have you done a compression test?
I am about to do mine at 125K, and 150K should be fine but doing a compression test can't hurt and will give you a good idea.

I'm not as worried about the compression as I am the wrist pins and crank bearings. But yeah I guess a compression test would be a good tell tale on the rings. 2 good things I do have, golden oil at 3000 miles and no oil usage.

Yeah same here, doesn't use a drop of oil and the oils looks clean at change time.

sorry about hijacking the thread, but I would think the most secret trick, besides the installation manual, is being well organized while doing the install. A nice workbench or table to lay out everything. A method of labeling bolts removed and where they go would also be handy. Last year I swapped an engine for my buddys' 92 chevy. When I was done I ended up with an extra bolt. To this day I still don't know what it went to and his truck is running fine. Kinda scary if you think about it.
