Supercharged!

Installed the supercharger yesterday. Thanks for all the information from everyone. Install took about 4 hours. The two things that gave me fits were taking the belts off and the dip stick tube. If you have adjusted the belts yourself before this is a piece of cake, the first time was a PITA. Once you figure out what to loosen and how to get to it, it's not too bad. Probably wasted an hour messing around with all those adjustments. I finally bent...or ahhh..formed the bracket that holds the wire harness and then the dipstick fit right in. I was worried about the vacuum hoses, that ended up to be the easiest part.

I was due for plugs (35k) so I took TRD recommendation on the cooler plugs and thermostat. As of now no ping, but the jury is out until the system adjusts.

I need to get to the dealer to take care of the gasket between the fender and fender flairs before it goes off warrantee, so I'll have them check the tension on all the belts.

While I had everything apart I was looking at the injectors. What a project that will be if I upgrade them! Looks like the supercharger has to come off to replace them. Don't want to do that too many times!

Actually, the injectors aren't too bad. Yes, the s/c does have to be removed, but if you've got the dynamic belt tensioner, you only have to slip one belt off and not fiddle with all the others.
I had a hard time with the belts when I installed mine, too. At the time, I was working from noon to 9 pm. When I got home, the supercharger was sitting on my porch. I debated on whether or not I wanted to tackle it that night or just wait until the weekend. I had it done by 3 am. It took me 5 hours.

The injectors took me 3 hours. It should have only taken an hour or so but I kept breaking o-rings. Everytime I'd bolt down the fuel rail and pressurize the system, I'd get a little fountain of gasoline. Somehow I think I knew that would happen and I bought a dozen o-rings from the dealer before I started. I used all but three. :pat:
