I will prolly never get tired of laughing at these things.
I wonder how long do they last until they disintegrate in your intake?

A.K.A - power toilet!
That's what happens when marketers get a hold of an engineering theory.

Big for using these POS.

I just wished they made them for exhaust systems. Then I would truly have spiral suckiness. That is much better than regular suckiness.

Check out the page with the installation diagrams http://www.spiralmax.com/sm_photo.htm
it just cracks me up.

Ok boys I got one of those Tornado Air Systems for 40 USD back three years ago. Now, your thinking I was mentally challenged or got suckered in by the info commerical. Yah, you might be right or you might be a red neck. Check for hub caps in the house to qualify as a red neck.

What did it do for me? It decreased surging when the engine was cold and started to drive down the street.

What it didn't do? No added power, no added MPG and no low end torque.

Was it worth it? Mmmm HELL NO.

All flamers seek the exit cause I been there and done that. Constructive comments only, if you can manage it.

The funny part is if you think about it for a second....
If something that simple did so much, wouldn't it be added to every car?
I think you would also see alot of R&D guys getting the boot for not doing their job too!

Not makin fun of you Jim....we all have gotten duped before.

Duped, yah, probably happen again. Too bad I didn't read Chevrolet TPI of Ford Fuel Injection books before buying the Tornado. I would have known the plentum does a fine job of creating air vortecs in to the intake manifold. :pat:

WTF? Look like an attempt to use magnetic fields to align molecules by attraction and repelling forces. Didn't work 40 years ago. Won't work today.
Here's some input from the scepticfriends.org site http://www.skepticfriends.org/forum/...?TOPIC_ID=2304

i like the "chips" that you see on ebay that claim 10-15hp. some of them are just resistors that you put on the wire that goes to the coolant sensor so the ecu thinks the motor is cold and adds more fuel....thus increasing HP

with that spiral thing on the exhaust you could get creative and put it in the very end. you could make it so it spun from using the exhaust gases therefore creating an annoying whine.

Sure, they do they same thing which is nothing. Spacers are trying to create a vortex. Plentum and intake manifold do a better job. he he he

how do these widgets get acrb approval etc.?

I am amazed at the claims these devices make and that they still seem to get carb and epa and other gov.t approval stamps and numbers when they realy do nothing at all. i'm reminded of a product that was offered a few years ago. It was a steel tube you spliced into the fuel line. It was supposed to contain "super reverse pole magnets or something that were supposed to "aline the fuel molecules". They made some big time claims got CARB and epa etc. I think it was consumer reports did a test on the device they opened one up ( a serious warrenty violation) and found a hollow tube with two pieces of screen a few washers and some southwest desert sand. I can see were that made a big difference. It makes you wonder. Aviator
