sunroof switch problem

I have a 2003 Sport Edition. Recently I had a problem opening the sunroof. I would hold the button briefly and let go, expecting the roof to continue to open all the way. It would stop as soon as I let go of the button. I thought I must be holding too long ot too short or something. The next day, all was well.

Now a few weeks later and it's back to not working correctly. I will have this fixed next visit to the dealership. Wondering if anyone else had this problem?

I have this same problem, but it does not just affect the sunroof, but the rear window and the driver's side window as well. Effectively everywhere that there is an "auto" feature.

The problem occurs everytime that I unhook the battery for more than just a few seconds and seems to go away after the truck is turned on and off several times...like a 1-2 days worth. This is the only time that it arises though.

I never thought about getting it fixed since its occurrences are absolutely predictable and always go away, but if it is happenning randomly on yours and the connections from your battery are properly set, then it would do to get it looked at.

I have never unhooked my battery and the same thing happened to me. My auto sunroof feature has stopped working. It did once before and the next time I started the truck it was fine. Now though it has been started and drive three times with no change, it is still broken. I did not try the rear window but the drivers window works fine.
