Stuck at exit 45 I-90......HELP???
My son got his Toyota stuck this AM at exit 45 on I-90 (no, not right at the exit.....says 4 miles in) He walked out and hitched back to town. Anyone up for an offroad recovery this evening (I hope before the snow hits) My Cruiser is down, the Cherokee has no winch. Says he drove up road and got stuck turning around, so I don't THINK he is off the road. Hoping tow strap will work, but don't like going up solo.

Thanks Mad,
I hope to be back in town by then. My hunting buddy is bringing his Toyota with winch and double lockers to back me up in the Cherokee. Hope to be leaving North Bend about 4:30. Storm is rolling in fast, too!

Just getting my stuff assembled. It is 16 deg F outside. I think it was a State Patrol Ford Expedition went up to get the last 2 passengers. (They were there for 5 hours before getting brought down). Digging out my chains, shovels, snatch straps, high lift, and whatever else I can find.

Got It Done!
All of us got practice getting unstuck (2 Toyota trucks & 1 Cherokee) The trucks sunk into the snow and high centered on the frames. Snow was hard enough to walk on, but you couldn't drive on it if you got off the "track". All the high center happened while trying to turn around at the top. Turns out my son got stuck last night about 11:00 PM. he and friends tried digging with a snow board and pushing til 4 AM. Then he and 1 friend walked out, leaving 2 in the truck. They got taken out by snowmobile later in the morning. Looks like they opened a can of refried beans with an axe for food. We had to back out for about 1/3 mile and winch one Toyota out of the ditch when he got a little off to the side.

Recovery Team's and phone #'s
That's a great idea. TTORA here in AZ has a recovery team. Most are locked front and rear among other things. I keep Ronn's (the President) number(s) in my cell just in case. You never know!
Glad everybody and the truck was ok.
My parents are telling me its supposed to snow a motherload up there. They live in Redmond.

Yup, supposed to get some decent snow, although I doubt much of it will land here in Seattle. Most of it will end up on the east side I'm sure. I spent 10 days in NH without a single day of snow, and had to return here to see snow.
