Strange sound when I remove Oil cap???
Today, I opened the hood of my 4runner.
While it was running, I removed the oil cap, and the engine sound changed.
I cant really explain it, but it sounded different.
Should I be concerned?
I put the oil cap back on, and all was normal again..
But everytime I remove the oil cap while the engine is running, it makes a strange sound.

are you serious??^^?
Sorry, Im not mechanically inclined.
A buddy of mine said it was unusual, and I just bought the truck a few days ago.
Can anyone give me a serious straight answer please..

heres the solution to your problem...
get a towel and fold it in half 2 times... place it on the wall of your house/apartment/shack/cardboard box... pound head against said rag 6 times as hard as you can (dont wanna chip the paint/stucco or smear the letter ink on the box)... replace oil cap... problem solved...

it means your flux capacitor is about to blow up, you need to get the vehicle as far away from you as you can. I'll come pick it up and take it away for $100 if you want

yeah the PCV "Positive Crankcase Ventilation" is null and void when you do this!
Pull the vacuum line off the PCV when the Engine is running do you hear the same change ???
well it is the same as pulling the oil fill cap! nothing wrong!!
