Dang, that is a nice truck.
I bet it was taken for the equipment on it.

KIRO TV had a deal on last night on the rising car theft in Tacoma.
It's really out of hand. The dudes get a slap on the wrist most of the time for doing it too.
Can't find the info on their website though.

Dang, I'm only about 15 miles or less North of there too.
Any theives come around my rig, they will be in for a very big surprise.

I think they need to get harder senteneces, such as the owner of the rig being able to take them out behind the courthouse and kickin' the livin' crap out of them and cutting off an article of flesh

Sorry to hear that rig was taken. I hope they can track down whoever did it.

I'm from San Diego originally and the number one vehicle stolen in that town was anything 4X4 Toyota. My buddy only drove Toy pick-ups and after the fourth truck going south he decided to do something a little drastic but effective. He put broken razor blades up under the dash. A few months later he came out to his truck one morning and found a broken window and a large trail of blood going down the drive. Being an EMT he was concerned for their safety and was able to go look for them to help out, "in his own truck"! I hope I haven't given away anyones security system, but keep in mind the cops didn't like it and gave my friend a ticket.

It all just sucks, having a rig stolen, esp. one with sentamental value. Have had 2 buddies get there ripped off, and recovered, but not quite the same.. One spent 5 months in my shop, other 2 weeks, ugh!

Yes, especialy when you put hundreds of hours into it doing each little mod yourself, and some punkass comes along and is to cheap to get a job and buy his own crap.

In my eyes, it's open hunting season on any crook I catch messin' with the rig.

Keep us posted if it gets recovered. Be even nicer if we all get the addys of the ones involved.

Blanket party anyone

Glad he got it back.
Nothing else was hurt?

Hopefully he's insured to replace those parts.

See thats BS! I think if they are already broken into the vehicle you should have whatever you want protecting your equipment. If it harms them oh well their fault for attempting to steal.
I can just see someone getting a ticket for the club that they have hooked on their steering wheel "accidentally" knocking someone out.

The rig in now back home....

Now, in my eyes, this is where we have lost many of our rights for self protection of property. Its sad when you can beat somebody to a pulp for steeling your stuff, you go to jail for assult and end up with a cival lawsuit. Now the guy who is the thief knows he can get away with anything becuse the punishment is soo lame. Like somebody said, what ever happened to public hangings?

So what did you end up doing with your rig? Insurance pay for or replace anything?

Glad to hear it was recovered. While we're on the subject, did you guys hear about the guy that tried to steal a 70's Camaro? Can't recall where exactly in the State in happened though. The owner caught the MF and he and a friend beat the you know what out of him. The thief later died and no charges were filed against the owner and his friend. It's nice to hear stuff like that.
