steering rack has excessive play

I never had any of these problems with my steering rack prior to and after suspension mods, tire size increases, and offroading.
That said, I have that stock steering rack in my garage. Its for sale to anyone who may need it. Its dirty, but still worked fine when it was taken off at 120K miles.

I just got a call back, the estimate for the wheelbearing was around 450! is that normal??

That seems a tad high. Granted they will have to pull the spindle off and press it out. Then replace the bearing with a new one and press it in. Considering shop prices, I guess that's about average. Call your local dealer real quick and ask them what they would charge and compare. That would tell you. Besides, I would rather have a genuine Toyota bearing in there myself.
