starter wires
i just got done putting new crank and bearings in my 97 tacoma 2.7. i go to start it and it just clicks once like its kickin the pludger out but now spinning the gear. my friend unhooked the starter and im not sure if maybe one of the wires got mixed up. thanx ahead of timetet

Only should be two wires o the starter, one heavy gauge one to the post and a smaller gauge one to the solenoid terminal. Run a quick voltage check to see if you are getting good voltage to both wires:

theres the wires on the solenoid that screws the the other half of the starter and then the terminal post on the bottom. theres two wires and a connector that come out of the harness by the starter. now that i think about it i wonder if the one grounds somewhere else

One should come straight from the batt, the other to the engine block. That is how mine is setup, and most all starters. Can you turn the crank by hand?
