Starter Question

1999 Taco Prerunner , Just got thru putting the complete Old Man Emu`s Set on (Leif springs, Front and rear shocks, New shackles, Front and back brakes Complete with new rotors and Drums) All together, took a week at about 3 hrs a day. The very last thing I have to do is put in that stoopid starter. I have played with it for about a hour and still can`t figure out how the hades you get to the stinkin bolts. Is there a trick? It`s a Auto, so I`m dealin with tranny lines as well. I`ll be able to get it out if I figure how to get to the BOLTS!!!!!!!

Kmon gang....come clean.

Finished!

Yes, I soaked them with Liquid WRENCH.

That was a absolute exercise in Madness, as It was a hell-of-a-way to put in a starter.

The only thing I regret is that I have no way to really tighten those bolts other than really snug.

Thanks.

Ya, I put thread lock on mine. They were thread locked originally, thats why mine were so hard to remove. Its a PITA, but its better then paying the labor for someone else to do it!
