Hey..I was under the impression that the SR5 package was supposed to be the "loaded" version of the truck..yet my 1990 SR5 does not have AC??? whats up with this? was it still just an option on the SR5's?

thanks guys

Chris, It seems to me that the SR-5 should have had air but I'm not sure about that.I know my 01 SR5 Tacoma came with it. It also could have went bad on the other owner and they just never replaced it due to cost. Also some guy's don't like it so they sell it or just take it out to get better mileage. They aren't cheap unless you can find one in a Toy bone yard or from someone parting out one. Mike

Hey I've got a 91 SR5 and it too doesn't have AC the reason? The person who ordered my truck ordered the SR5 but had them delete AC from the options/order sheet for some reason or another.

I don't have an SR5 but I can tell you my next mod will be adding A/C to my truck.

My 91 is an SR5 model and I don't have a single luxury looking item on it.

Power nothing, cloth, no A/C, no sunroof, 5-speed.

93 P/U ext cab SR5 with power steering, sunroof, cloth, 5 speed, no power windows and locks thank God. Mine also came with factory 4.56 gears. I wonder if people ordered more back then than went to a dealer and bought what they had back then?

My 90 SR5 is as basic as you can get, no AC, no power options ( except rear door glass), manual adjust sideview, & it looks like it never had any AC hardware . I like it that way myself, less things to go bad as they age

My 89 SR5 has no AC, PW, PL, Sunroof or buckets. I really wish I had the AC, PW and PL.

My 93 SR5 was the same.

The 01 I bought recently has all the goodies, don't know how I lived without them now

AC has always been optional even on SR5. It's dealer installed.
