squeeky 4wd boot...make it stop?
As it's gotten colder my car has been making some noises it hadn't made before, so I guess I'm listening closer now.
Some of them are just from cold parts as I hit bumps, so those I can obviously live with.
But my 4wd boot cover squeeks against the shifter and it's driving me crazy as it's not a noise that happens when I hit a bump. I can be on the smoothest highway possible and it just rubs against the shifter and squeeks it's happy little squeek.
Anyone ever have this problem and come up with a way to stop it. The 5spd shifter doesn't make the noise is the strangest part.

do you have a leather boot?
try cleaning the boot and putting armor-all on it or something.
never heard of this,..youre prob gonna have to do some experimentation.
