Don't get the idea that I don't take care of my '96 4runner 4wd ltd 6cyl, because I would if it needed it (finest vehicle I've ever owned), but I've got 192K miles on it, and still have the original spark plugs! I run premium gas, and have gotten 20 mpg since day one. Every now and then, I get the idea that my 4runner deserves a little TLC and consider changing them out, but when it runs like a new one, I'm not sure what I hope to accomplish, and in the past with other vehicles, I've had them come out of the shop in worse shape than they went in.

i dont know, i wanted platinum spark plugs, but someoen convinced me they were not all worth the hype. as he said, plats are said to last 60,000 miles, but his have lasted over 200,000!!!
