Software for Scan Tools 6000

Hi I just bought from ebay the Scan Tools 6000 scanner (usually priced at $20k 2nd hand) for $2k but withought the software and cables. Well i built my own cables but the website www.brainbee.com asks me for a username/pass in order to download the software. Does anyone have it?

Thanks.

That's quite a new toy you have...

From BrainBee's site, it says:
"ATTENTION!!! The information are classified for the customers autorized for technical l'area. Please contact directly BrainBee Spa to have username e password."
I would think that since this is a license transfer, you should be able to drop them a line and get a password to the site. Or, does the seller have access?

I'm curious... What does this thing do for that kind of money? It looks like it's "just" an OBD II reader. Does it spout the manufacturer/engine codes as well as the P codes?

It should have the P codes... its the powertrain code. If you get a generic scan tool you will not be able to pick up any codes with a 1 after the letter because it applies to a specific make. If you have an adaptor you can but those costs a butt load of money. At my dealership we had to buy a $4000 cartridge just to read Ford specific codes.

Right... I think it may have been confusing how I worded that.

I knew that it would do P codes, but I'm curious what else it does for the $20k (2nd hand!) sticker price. It looks like there's an optional 'scope module, but you can pick up a 100mhz LCD scope for a LOT less.

Yeup, which is what I'm "hoping" that this box does for the sake of budutzus' $2k.
