So I'm getting horrible gas milage ..
Okay well I was always pretty sure I wasn't getting normal gas milage. But a couple days ago I filled my tank with $20 worth of gasoline and clicked the odometer or whatever to 0 miles to see how many miles I could get out of the gas. So I did mostly city driving and after 107 miles I completely ran out of gas! Okay, so gas is around $2.00 a gallon around here, so $20 worth would get me around 10 gallons, and 10 gallons is getting me around 100 miles... thats about 10 miles a gallon!? Is this normal? I have a 1993 Toyota P/U v6 A/t w/ 33's with about 93k miles.... Just wondering if this is normal gas milage or whats going on?

I don't know if high milage makes a diff but those 33's sure will hurt your MPG's. If you have a set of 31's run them for a month and see if there if you can pick up a few MPG.
Good luck.

Well the 33's aren't helping ya...but it should get a little better than that. recommendations...a tune up, new gas filter, throttle body cleaning and run some seafoam thru it. I get around 15mpg after I did them things and I have 212,000 miles and 31x10.50's. when I get the money I'm going to upgrade the exhaust to see if its any better.

Something is definately wrong. I alway get at least 15 mph around town and about 20 on the highway. And that's with 145lbs of winch and bumper.
I would do an all out tune up:
-Fuel filter (OEM)
-Air filter (K&N or Amsoil)
-Clean throttle body, plenum, and intake (by hand)
-PCV valve
-Spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor (all OEM parts)
-Check timing
-Check tire pressure
It may also be your cat, your injectors may be clogged, or it could possibly be a bad o2 sensor.

Along with what ChickenLover said, also go to the dealer and get this stuff called 44k. Way more effective than those quick mart brands and more effective than techron. A little spendy but worth it!!

So I dont need to replace it unless the CEL goes on? If I dont get the CEL i can assume it is working properly and efficiently?
I seafoamed last weekend and I was wondering if I should replace it, but I never got the CEL light and assumed it was fine. Still getting not very good mileage...pretty frustrating...gonna do the fuel filter next.

I am sorry...I am new to all this advanced mechanics stuff and I appreciate all the experience you all bring to the table to help me learn.
What is an OHM meter? What do they run cost wise and what is the best way to find out what it should read? Do you hook it up to an engine part or what?
Thank you again!
