Someone tried to screw me once on purpose on eBay for some guitar equipment. I went straight to my credit card company bypassing all the eBay/paypal jackasses. That got the sellers attention when the money was removed from his paypal account, I imagine. I then got a nasty email from paypal saying I should have went through them first, whatever.
I say always go straight to the source you paid with to get it squared away since ebay and PayPal don't seem to get on it.

Not sure what she means... unless maybe my complaint with paypal put a hold on the money? I just cancelled the complaint temporarly to see if thats the problem

Oh that's an interesting email... Sounds like a sideways "ship the laptop to Europe" scam.
Did paypal refund your money and it's in-route to your account? Weird.

IT ALL ELSE FAIL YOU CAN FILE A CHARGE BACK FOR INTERNET FRAUD WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD CO.... i PAY FOR EVER THING WITH A CREDIT CARD ON EBAY. How did you file the chargeback? When I called I let them know of possible fraud and they just said they will send the paperwork out to me
