Well I JUST got done replacing the #2 and #3 relay on the 4 relay board on my 2nd gen thinking that the back window down relay was shot.
No avail. The GDPOFS still wont roll down...
I need to know what relays 1, 2, and 4 do. This is REALLY pissing me off.
Do all the relays share the same ground???

Breathe
I know the feeling. Put the dynamite down and walk away from the 4Runner for a while. Come back to it later.
I have no idea what those relays do but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

LoL thanks for the post. I did just that, took a break to clean up (cussing the entire time.) Came back out, stuck the key in the ignition turned it to ACC and I hear a single 'CLICK' from the back.
I thought, "Hmmm the full time on relay is on, and I dont remember hearing it last time...."
So I try the switch - OMG IT WORKS!!!
Possible morals of the story: either cussing at my truck makes it work, my truck is possesed, or for some wierd reason the main relay that supplies power (or ground) to the rest of the relays didnt turn on the first time.
Now she works (the switch up front.)
BTW all rear window switches are merely ground interrupts. Oddly enough there is no power going to the roll up side of the key switch on the tailgate. Im thinking the retards that rewired the rear end after my first collision ooooh-so-long ago didn't wire up that wire....
