sliders are coming, welding questions
The sliders are going to have 4 tubes that mount to the frame, each tube will have it's own plate and triangle for reinforcement. I am planning to have the plates welded on in a dimond position, so there are no vertical welds. And the triangle will go on top to reinforce the slider when it's supporting significant weight.
Anything else I need to know?
Oh, one more thing... should I have the welder weld the plates to the slider, then to the frame, or should the plates be welded to the frame first, then the sliders to the plates? There's not much of an off-road market up here, so I doubt my welder has done this kind of thing before. I want to make sure I know what to tell him so nothing gets screwed up.
