show us your hi-lift on vehicle location (pics)

Hey!

I'm looking for ideas for storing a hi-lift jack on my 4Runner.

If you've got some time - please post a picture of two of how you do it.

If you don't have time -

Peace Out

Yeah, I'm going through the same thought process. I'm trying to keep the weight off the roof to maintain a low center of gravity, but not sure it will happen.

I've considered installing it on the rear bumper that is being built right now, but I'm already running out of room as it is with a spare tire rack, an ammo can, and backup lights. Checkout Jeff Bathke’s rear bumper mount.

http://www.trailseeker.com/4x4/mods/4runner/index.htm

I ran across someones site yesterday with the Hi-Lift mounted on their TJM, but don't have the site address.

I'm looking a buying a Wilderness or Con-Ferr rack and mounting up top. Just where I was trying to avoid.

Mine is on the roof for now but once I buy a Kaymar rear bumper they have a highlift mount that mounts it standing up as if it were in jacking position.

Mine's on the roof. Mounted to my Wilderness Rack with their bracket, very nice, no extra noise, easy to get down. The extra weight isn't much in the grand scheme of things.

Nice. My wife already has a mod list for hers. Now I have to divide my time between the 4Runner and the Tacoma.

No pics yet, but mine mounts behind the rear tire carrier spare, in between the tire carrier and the tail gate on several bolts.

Info on the mounts can be seen on my website in the mods section, or in the Tech section on the forum.

I got a 48, but considering the lift height of my rig now, I'd get a 60. For a 3rd gen w/ a nominal lift, 48 is fine IMO.

I've got the 60"... the 48 will be much easier to store, especially if you want to keep in inside your rig. But with the height of my truck, I'm glad I've got the extra length of the 60" Not sure if I really need the 60, but I'm glad I've got it.
