Shorted Ignition '91 4Runner,How to fix??
Ok,here's the deal.........the stereo system installed when I bought my truck was hooked up to the fuse box for a power source, particularly the ignition fuse to be exact (not a good idea if you ask me)....well,...to make a long story short, the stereo died and shorted out the ignition/fuse and now the truck wont start!
So,,,after realizing that there was no power out of the "IGN" fuse slot on either side, I tried tracing the lead from the ignition to the fuse box ,then to the engine, in hopes of finding some sort of blown"inline fuse"or circuit breaker of some kind but to no avail.....
So the question is, is there a hidden fuse or relay that controls the power for the ignition circuit somewhere that I've overlooked ??
btw......I also checked out the fuse box under the hood ,next to the battery, but that checked out ok ,I think .......
Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

Under the hood on the passenger side, there is a rectangular box that has fusible links in it. Pull the top off and look at the green or pink one; there is clear plastic on top of the links. If you see the metal seperated in there, it's bad. You can get those at most auto parts stores for around $3.
I blew one of those recently, pretty spooky when there is no lights or anything when you put the key in the ignition. I keep extras in my glovebox now.
Good luck
