Mike at Extreme Off-Road couldn't find a source (other than a Toyota dealer) to get the bearings from. I called a couple more places locally and found them at two dealers. $40+ for the bearings, $12+ for the collars, $20 for grease. A little over $120 for everything (not including tax). But, I'm tired of overpaying at dealerships so I decided to order online.

I gave Jay Mark's Toyota a chance. They had a link to www.parts.com for online ordering. I found the parts by searching by OEM part number. Prices were fair so I placed the order ($27 for bearings and $7 for collars). I decided to get the grease too. The big tub (1oz) was $11. Turned out to be $80 plus shipping. Saved $40. Not too bad.

Only thing I didn't like was that they don't provide shipping costs at time of sale. It looks like they charge actual UPS shipping rates, though. So, that shouldn't bee too bad. I'm shipping ground.

Hopefully, I'll have them sometime early next week. I'll post my results once I get everything installed.

Del: I'm guessing it's going to take some time. I'm planning to take the day off and work on it as long as it takes. I'll take some pictures and post them when I get a chance.

The AllData link that Reldnew posted gives some decent instructions on replacing the bearings. It kind of leaves you on your own as far as getting things apart and putting everything back together, though.

A slide hammer will make removal a lot easier. Pull the outside bushing so you can drive out the inner with a socket.
Get a cheap one from Harbor freight.

As far as grease, I, and all the Toy dealerships around here use Lubriplate Mo-Lith no. 2 from the 1500 series. Of course it is made here, so that may have something to do with it.

I have also heard of techs using John Deere "cornhead oil" whatever the h*** that is.
