shock stud centering collar w/toytec ULK?
Question on the toytec ULK, specific to the shock mounting hardware. The silver collars that are supposed to keep the stud centered in the top mount hole... you know, the ones that come in an unlabeled, nondescript plastic baggie with no indication of what they are or where they go.... how in the world do you get the nut to reach the threads with that mountain of bushings, washers, and the collar? I left the collars out and trimmed the little 1/8" centering rings off the
bushing just to get it to where the nut would bite. There's no way to compress them from above, and the weight of the truck didn't compress the lower bushing enough to help at all. With the collars on there was barely enough stud showing to contact the nut, let alone thread it.
I get the feeling I'm going to regret not putting the collars on.
