shock application
Im buying a set of downey 1.5s from a guy here and will be doing shocks next go round. My question is would I benefit from getting shocks that are made for the 2in lift applications? Would it tear up my panhard bar? I was assuming stock shocks wouldnt give the amt out travel I wanted with the new springs.
Thanks guys

The shocks are the limiting factor in articulation so if you want more then you need to get longer shocks. Chris Geiger has a pretty good writeup and chart over on offroad.com that has the part number of the rancho shocks that you want. If you want some other brand, then I think you'll have to research this yourself.
good luck,

That's a tough question to answer because I don't think anybody has the official stock height. They would have had to measure it when it was new.
What I can say is that the back of my 4runner is slightly higher than the stock height front. However, you really have to look at it and the average person wouldn't notice. My guess is that it's about 1 inch higher in the back.
