I understand that (read my original post) but my point is that they told him something about the 95 not being applicable because of the year (almost like they were implying they had it figured out or something)

Obviously Toyota did not have it figured out.

keep fighting. When you get Toyota on the phone, push like hell. Tell them that all the stuff you hear about Toyota quality must be BS. Don't give up!!!!

I got Toyota to pay for some bearing work in my front end that wasn't ever a recall. Ask them why your vehicle dosen't qualify and ask for documented proof as to why not.

It's important not to give up, keep going up the ladder. My guess is the will eventually give in. Letterd help too. If you've had any other service done at the dealship, be sure to let Toyota know that. Theynlike to see repeat service business.

You might be in for a bit of a fight, but it's better than paying $2500.

Just had another thought. Did you buy the truck from a dealer? If so try the angle of they didn't inspect it well enough before you bought it. Hopefully you havent' pu too many miles on it.
