Selling my baby, giving everyone a heads up

If you're like me you don't venture too often into different forums on here so you may not have found this. I'm contemplating selling my truck for a newer street queen for now. I wanted to let everyone on here know before it went onto autotrader and such.

Serious inqiuries, please use email or cell phone for contact.

Wow, you just spent all that time getting it to the way you want it! Why sell?!

I understand the lure of a newer Taco or 4runner....but dang.

I contemplated doing the same thing but decided since my runner is paid off, I'd keep it for a weekend warrior/second car and get a more fuel efficient car like an Accord or Miata. Why not go that route?

I definitely would if I had the money, trust me. I am going to need this money for a down payment on another car so monthly won't be as bad. I'm scoping out for earlier 4th gens, but those are pretty damned expensive! I won't go anything besides Toyota...well unless I can find a 02 yukon for a decent price

I can understand both of your ideas. I personally am a guy that moves from one project to another regularally. I will get one done just right as good as it is going ot get then start something else.

Depending on $$$ ect... i will sometimes sell the old one to get the new one but whenever i can i keep the old one. so both are good roughts. Although i have to agree, why not keep this one and get something else. I personally will never be without a 3rd gen. The 4th gens have more power and features but i just HATE cars that EVERYTHING is computer controlled/eletronic. Like we have a van that every single switch, button ect... is computer controlled. They all have this micro delay when you mess with them and i just hate the feel. And trying to mod that stuff is hardly even an option.

I agree...3rd gens are so much easier to work on than any of the newer 4runners or trucks! Screw all that computer controlled crap, if something fails on the trail like some freakin computer chip that regulates your 4wd knob then you're out of luck vs. a mechanical 4wd lever.

I mean Roor (aka MillerPKA ) if you are looking for a down payment from this I'm guessing that means you'll be spending at least 15k to 20k for a 4th, thus why not get a kick ass gas saving car for 8 to 10k? I mean you know with the way gas is going and all!?....

I'm not trying to talk you out of selling it if thats what you really want to do, but you know it'll be a hell of a lot more to get that 4th gen where you have your 3rd gen now! Your truck is freakin sweet, why waste it....? No regrets later and with a car you have the best of all worlds...!

OK my $.02 are in, someone elses turn!

You'd be able to get more if you parted some of the aftermarket stuff out...

Come to SD and I'll buy your front bumper.

Careful, be sure you are ready for the vultures before you say "parting o......" because about that point is where they will stop circling and start attacking viciously!

You know that roof rack looks to be in good shape…

I hope you stick on the idea of buying a toyota. pricy but at the end of the day you are driving a car that is well built. I am sure you will decide well.

for a street car, i would definatly take the 01+ yukon or tahoe over a 4runner. More power, More room, nicer, rides better, and about the same gas mileage.
