Seeking some suspension advice
Hi Everyone
I just joined the forum hoping to get some advice on improving the handling of my 2004 Tacoma Pre-Runner. It is a 4 cylinder automatic and completely stock except for the addition of a cab-high shell on the back. The vehicle has only 14K miles and I purchased it new, so nothing is worn out. I just do not like the way it handles in turns or around corners.
If you have some advice to offer, please know that I am retired and on a fixed income and can't afford to replace everything. (hardly anything really) So, with that in mind, I am trying to find what would be my one least expensive option, that would offer better stability around corners.
I have been reading about sway bars, or simply installing polyurethane bushings on the stock sway bars, but I do not have enough knowledge in this area to know if this is worth doing or not. Would I be better off replacing the shocks? What about the front suspension? Is there something there I can do to improve handling?
Thanks in advance for any replies and I wish all of you a very healthy and happy New Year
