you'll be able to run the stock pistons, don't worry about that.
your main concern WILL be air/fuel

Yeah, i know the Fuel is the real problem. That is why i will be getting the URD 7th injector kit to take care of that. And i already have a Short Ram Intake so air is as good as it can get too.

Then get a wideband and OBD scanner and i should be good to go for that.

I just don't want to have to open the engine again for a long time so if the spring ARE a weak spot I want to get those changed out now. Anyone know for sure one way or the other?

Where did you mount yours? that is something i was thinking about and could not come up with a good place for it except in front of the radiator but the tranny cooler is already there....

Thanks for the link, lot of good info there, good to know that i am not even close to going overboard on cooling.

check the bearing on the tensioner pulley. a friend of mine bought a supercharger for his 4runner that the seller stated needed to be rebuilt. he noticed that the tensioner pulley was almost frozen solid. he ended up with an operational s/c for $250 plus a new tensioner.

Yep, tensioner is A-ok as far as i can tell. Spins freely and smooth.

Going to try to open it up tomorrow and see what it looks like inside then i will know what kind of deal i got. I found a rebuild kit for $75 if the nose is really all that needs to be done.

Ok, so I am taking the Supercharger apart as i type and first off i am VERY happy with what i have seen so far. The oil was still perfectly clean and it looks mint inside.

I am trying to figure out how to take the nose bearing out, anyone know how to do it? I can't figure out what side i need to tap it out. From the pulley end? Or from the inside out?

Anyone know? Also, anyone know how to take the roots out? I don't think i am going to as everything looks so good i doubt there is anything wrong in there. Plus it spins SOOOO smooth.

So how do i get the bearing out?
