Rough idle, cel at 60+km/h
1998 4runner sr5, not sure what is going on here but it started to idle really rough after warming up. once its warmed up, the acceleration is horribly rough, and once i go near 60km and higher, a cell flashes on and off. also if i let go of the gas peddle, it stays at that exact speed i was going without dropping down at all. its revving kinda high in park and neutral as well
New plugs, new wires, maf is clean, timing belt is still good. i dont think there are any vacuum leaks... any ideas??? This only happens once the car is driven for like 2-3 minutes. the first few minutes it drives fine.
I am guessing it has something to do with a sensor or air intake? if it was sparkplugs or wires, wouldnt the initial start up be rough? which it isnt.

dont have a code reader. what would cause a car to have a rough idle, jerking when creeping forward or reverse and the inability to decelerate!?

If you can get it to an auto-parts store, many will scan and tell you the code for free. Many stores will "rent" you the scanner for free also. I don't know enough to make an accurate prediction based upon your description. It'd be easier to go off the stored codes that have been thrown.

Damn. Yeah I bet he pulled the codes and immediately saw misfire on that cyl. At that point it's either the coil pack or injector. Probably time to get into the shop though if your drive belts were cracking. Relatively cheap fix though, glad it wasn't anything serious.
