Rough idle after EGR delete and O2 fake
so today I deleted my EGR (I might have messed this up) and installed the rear o2 sensor trick (cap and resistor
)
i was already throwing the code for a bad O2 sensor
after resetting the computer the idle is extremely rough...
99 Tacoma with 3rz-fe
Ideas ?

The rear O2 sensor only checks cat converter function, it does'nt have anything to do with engine fuel management.
You still have to have a sound, operational, front O2 sensor for proper engine operation.
Whats the deal with wanting to remove factory systems that cost no engine power, or performance??
The ECU expects that the EGR is operational, If I were you, I'd restore it to correct function.
You may have a vacuum leak.

EGR tube bracket at the exaust head was warped and causing a massive exaust leak
I have plugged all vacume lines I removed.
I only mention the rear O2 because I did two things at once (I know bad me).

There's not really much to mess up when deleting EGR from 3rz. You probably yanked a vacuum line loose, or some other electrical connector. But yeah, I personally would prefer to keep EGR. In a couple of days of running bad, you'd hope it would throw a code and then you could diagnose from there. Otherwise just go over everything again.
