recall problem with dealership

i recently took my 95 4runner in for the newest recall work. they told me that my truck was covered under it and would be fixed. i set up my appointment and took it in. they told me that it would take 4 hours for them to fix it and do the alignment. 6 hours later i called and they said that they were getting ready to do the alignment. 20mins later i get a call saying that the machine broke and i would have to get the alignment later and they would call me when the machine was fixed. 3 weeks have passed and no phone call. i have a friend that works down there and he told me that the machine was never broke. now i am way out of alignment and a little pissed. what should i do in this situation with the lying dealership.

Get a hold of the service manager and let him know what the deal is and give him the opportunity to correct the problem. If he doesn't cooperate then threaten him with calling the BBB. Then if he still doesn't cooperate...call Toyota's corporate office. Don't know the # but I'm sure there is someone on here that does. Thats what I would do.

I would find out if you can take it to an alignment shop and get reimbursed for it, or tell them to find a shop that can do it, or ask them if they will be buying you a new set of $800 tires because yours have now have uneven wear.
