Rebuild advice...
Where I'm at now:
I have the block assembled up to the EFI but no EFI on yet. Sparkplugs, injectors, heads, oil cooler, oil filter, oil pan are all on and it is in the truck. I have the starter on also.
I would like to know what you guys think about hooking up the battery and throwing in the oil to go ahead and crank it now to make sure the starter is hooked up right and test for oil leaks before I finish the full install. Also check for any funny noises. Is it ok to do?

Good God, man! I might as well drop a Ford engine in it if I were to do that! That is all powder coated, actually. I'm not sure of the name of the color but is a rather electric blue.
