rear propellar shaft u-joint replacement (01 taco)

just did a little replacing of worn suspension parts on my 01 taco 4wd..
Replaced oem shocks/struts with monroe sensa tracs- very firm/stiff now. dunno if i like that, but i'm dealing with my choice. Had to replace the 210k carrier baring too- argh$$$!!
Replaced U-joints. One big hitch though- on the 2 piece driveshaft on my 01 4wd taco, they don't manufacture just the joint on the rear shaft! to replace that certain joint, you have to buy a whole new propellar shaft from Toyota-($900) or.....

take it to Drive Shaft Dave. he had the replacement joints/yoke in stock from a previous potential job- he had to cut the orig. off, weld the new on and machine/balance it.. saved me over 600 bucks!

don't know if y'all know him- & maybe at first you'll think he's kind hard to deal with~
he's been in buis. a long time and isn't afraid to remind you of that! he might seem pretty sour acting, but i think it's all bark!! don't expect him to kiss your ass cuz you spend some bucks there- expect him to do the job right!
his warranty is his word.. "i'll make it right"

the end result was so worth taking that spoonful of bad attitude.. Not just anyone could do this- and do it right!

: He was very nice when i paid him !! lol (i had to keep telling my chest to quit lookin in his eyes though) oh well..lol
Now my Taco is so tight!!! lol
MAJOR PROPS TO DAVE=

THANKS DAVE!
