Rear diff fluid is milky after one day

I have a 2001 SR5 4wd and have always changed the fluid frequently. I did the rear diff with 80w-90 Castrol dino oil a day ago. Put about ten miles on it and decided to make sure it was still full after everything settled. When I removed the fill plug some overflow dribbled out but it was turning milky? This has not been near water - especially in one day. Any thoughts? The stuff I drained was dark and only had 12000 miles.

Not sure what you mean by foamed? If it is related to the diff being used than that is a possibility. The truck sat all day and I bled and refilled the brake fluid. I drove down the street hitting the brakes a few times and pulled back into the garage and pulled the fill plug.

Its imposible unless you tear the axle and diff out to get all the old fluid out. I bet when you drove it around that the old remaining oil mixed and turned the oil a bit milky. I wouldnt worry about it. just keep up with your diff changes and all other fluids and youll be fine.

I'm confused. What does changing the brake fluid have to do with your diff fluid?

Exactly - It wasn't as clear as I thought. Changing the brake fluid had nothing to do with the diff. I was trying to point out that the only time I drove the truck after filling the differential was for about 5 minutes to check that my brake fluid change was OK.
