Question Quiet Muffler (not stock)

Hey guys just wondering what after market muffler/exhaust system you would recommend if I'm looking for some performance gain but still like it to be quiet. I have an after market muffler (no idea what kind, but i can post a sound clip if anyone want to hear it.) now but it's wicked loud and my g/f gets a headache from it. Sooo she's given me permission to actually put some cash into my truck. (haha) I'm sorry if this has been covered already but I appreciate ur advice!

I initially put a magnaflow 5x8x18 muffler on and it was too loud for me so I switched to a 5x11x22 and it is very nice now. It is still slightly louder than stock, but on a recent long highway drive over mountains the muffler was very silent. I think any straight through muffler design will always be a bit louder than stock. If you want very quiet, then you might want to look into Walker mufflers maybe? They have the same design as the stock muffler with convoluted paths so I don't know if they have any performance gain, but it's worth a look. I've heard Walker mufflers are very silent.

on my 3.0 4runner i have a 14inch magnaflow, it sounds good and is barely louder than stock, i cant even hear it inside the cab unless i rol the windows down and mash the gas.

my friend has a delta flow 40 series flowmaster on a 4.0 ranger and its nice and quiet. them you mash on it it has a really nice really low volume hum inside the cab. not loud, but souds sweeet.

Ok guys I'm back on the search for a nice muffler. I'm really interested in this Walker company. Has anyone used them? Any other suggestions?
