like a bull bar style bumper?

badland bumpers make them, i know ARB also makes them for that body style(though it might be only for '86-88 IFS trucks?)

I'm not asking for much, a push bar like this would be perfect...

(my friends Ram with a Westin bar that uses the front body mounts on the frame for anchor points, very cool i think)

Pretty much everyone used to make those for the 84+, probably still do. They're kinda universal.
Try searching for brush guards, not bull bars.

I have one on my 87. From Arb. I know my brother in law ordered one here from a different off road place and saved himself like $80.00 in shipping by going to the local Arb place to pick it up. Mine is a bull bar bumper.

gogrilleguards.com, accessconnect.com, badlandbumpers.com, autoanything.com, trucktoys4less.com, 4x4connection.com, trueradius.com, anythingtruck.com, even truckperformance.com doesn't have what I'm really looking for.

Big Rocks Offroad

The Type 1 is the best thing I've found that comes close to a brush guard or safari bar...good price too, I think this is what ill be getting, but id love to check out some other websites that fellow members recommend.

After much deliberation...ive decided to go with Badland Bumper's Baja Bumper.

It's $675 with the black powder coat, and not including shipping...a LOT of money...

But my good friend reminded me of the accident I had with my first Toyota Pickup, radiator married the engine block, had a kid and named it the firewall...frame was bent a good foot upwards.

So I really should go with the added protection up front...
