Pulling engine off transmisson (3.4L V6)

I'm trying to pull my old motor off and having a heck of a time of getting my motor to separate from the transmission. Any tips/hints?

Is the motor/tranny still in the truck?

Double and tripple check that you did not miss a bellhousing bolt. 9 times out of ten thats the problem.

If not, get a prybar and pry the 2 apart.

Auto or manual? If auto, are you sure you got all the flexplate to torque converter nuts?

Yeah, we figured out that we needed to take the torque converter bolts off. I have an automatic and we were thinking manual transmission, figured the gears would slide right off with the motor. Thanks for the help.

Yep, that would do it.
