Projector Headlight Conversion Complete
Here's what it looks like:
Now here's the million dollar question - who's interested in a write-up? It would be about a week before one is completed. And I didn't take pictures of everything. After everything was installed, I lost hi-beam function (that'll be corrected later).

I'd be somewhat interested, just to see what exactly you did, although I myself don't really plan on the modification, i saw your pics and post ealier, with the rodent issue, lol, but i guess I am unclear on what exactly this entails
edit: looks really good though

That's pretty awesome... are they HID? Now that you have those in there... if they aren't HID it will be really easy to swap them out to HID projectors. Looks nice! Glad to see another come to the "light side"...? hahahah good work!

Okay, all! Write-up is complete:
http://www.haveblueonline.com/headlights/projectors.htm
They are not HIDs...yet. I've been shopping. Converting to HID will be extremely simple. The Hella 90mm modules are compatible with H9 bulbs (installed) and HID D2S bulbs.
Total cost - $200 for the set of lights (2 high, 2 low),
$5 - cutoff wheels for Dremel
$5 - dust masks
$8 - Doan's back pain reliever for sore back caused by sleeping on the couch due to to anger from wife caused by using kitchen counter as shop bench and leaving small plastic and composite particles everywhere.
That's about it!

also, how far back do the projectors stick out, do they hit the battery or airbox? Has anyone ever used illusion-lighting.com? Its a hard choice between Projector HID lights and navigation for my new tundra, can't have both right now thats for sure

If you look at the back of your headlight (assuming it's a 4Runner), you'll see the part where the bulb clips into place. That whole "cylinder" keeps the H4 bulbs pointed in the right direction. So, if you draw a line all the way around the outside and keep it parallel with the back of the lamp, you'll end up spot on.
