prewired for elocker

Hey all,

I bought an elocker rear end to put in my non-locking 98 4runner, and am planning to use the factory 4wd computer and rr diff lock switch.

It looks like I'm pre-wired for the computer under the kick panel, but I can't see any signs of a wiring harness to plug the actuator into underneath the truck.

Anyone have any thoughts on where this might be hidden?

Thanks!

It doesnt work like that....you need harness from donor truck. Toyota doesnt give you harnesses often if you dont have the option.

There are a couple guys on here with thread too about building your own switch and relays etc....guys that are like electrical engineer gurus.

The site search button kinda blows.

Best way to harvest info from Yotatech is to go a google search like "e-locker harness build yotatech" resulted in....

We just put a locker on my wife's 96. No sign at all of any locker prewiring anywhere.

Another thing to look out for is that most (all) non-locker diffs were 4.10 ratio, and most locker diffs are 4.30. So you'll need to swap the front diff too.

I am indeed.

She's about got it wired up now.

I'd help, but she shoos me away from working on her truck. So the 'we' I used above is more of a 'royal we'. The most I've done so far is spot the ad for the locker axle on Craigslist. Oh, and pull a 4.30 front diff at the pick-n-pull.
