Good luck getting your hands on the PP springs 'till december unless you want just 1 front spring. It only took them 2 weeks for them to figure that one out.

Yeah I ordered a set about six months ago and finally canceled the order after 4 months. Well I'm back to the waiting game, reordered them yesterday and the new date is 12/06.

It seems that they take orders and only place an order themselves (from germany i believe) is when they have enough for a bulk order. I cannot blame them - just wish they advertized this. Kinda like a group buy here and there....

I put my rears in and they are great. I have KYBs with 45k on them and am debating putting the fronts in as is or buidling a new front set and just swapping them out.

Just got them yesterday. They all have a date stamped on them. One of the front ones was made in 2/2005. All three others were stamped 8/2006. Having fun this weekend!

Well guys I finally ordered the springs. I went with OME. I would have gotten the PP's but with the back order issues and my luck I probably would have had a problem getting them any time soon.

A thought did come to mind though after ordering them. Are the left and right coils the same model? After scanning through so many posts i recall something about 1 coil being longer than the other. I just dont recall if that only has to do with the front coils.

PS= thanks to all you guys' comments and suggestions. Much appreciated

All the OME (PP and OEM too for that matter) rear coils have one longer than the other to compensate for the weight of the gastank. They come in pairs so you'll automatically get a left and a right side and one longer than the other no matter which model (906, 890, etc) you order.

Well I got the springs yesterday and noticed that one is indeed longer than the other, but only by no more than 1/2 inch. Each spring has a label marked as either A or B, A being the longer of the 2. Now does anyone know which spring pertains to the driver's side and which is the passenger side.

thanks again..............

It doesn't matter how they are marked, the longer one ALWAYS goes on the driver's side.

Dude, I'm just tellin you whats on the springs. and when it comes down to it, it may matter for the next guy. I'm sure they're lettered differently for a reason. I just wanted to know which spring goes where since I'm not the one installing them. Since the difference in size is not that significant the person who does install them might not see a difference.

Regardless, thanks for the info..........

Reason I capitalized that is because they have been marked several different ways (since these springs originate in Australia - right hand drive) especially in the early days, so it is best to always say taller spring always goes on the drivers side (caps didn't mean yelling, btw). You're right to tell the person installing them that there's a difference.....since it is subtle if you didn't know to look for it. Best of luck and you'll love them!

lol, i thought you were attacking my noobness, lol. Thing is, these springs are headed to the Dominican Republic so in order to keep things simple I have to tell my dad that "spring A" ( the longer one for these springs ) has to go on the driver's side. I'll probably still have to tie a tag on it and label it drivers side in spanish cause, knowing my dad, he'll tell the installer the opposite.

Not very clear......for the price I'd assume those were single coils not a set. If you want OEM parts, don't bother with with the other site and just give Phil www.trdparts4u.com or Evan www.northridgetoyota.com a call, excellent pricing and fast shipping from both.

Evan got back to me, still a little confused though. Still not clear if it is per coil or both, and hes about 5 bucks higher, and no length difference. Here is his reply,,

"Hi Jim, the springs are $54.81. I show the same number left & right. Not different lengths. Let me know if the guys are using something else. The part number I came up with is 48231-35210."

That is per coil and yes, for the stock springs the rears are the same P/N.

Hey Steve, when you say the "correct" Tundra coils up front, do you mean the coils from the corresponding year (i.e. '99 Tundra coils on a '99 4Runner)? And how much lift does it give. Forgive my ignorance, but can you tell me how to match up shocks for that lift?
