possible to convert from auto 2WD to auto 4WD?
hello all. I'm new to this forum. I have been reading these forums for some time now. Here is my question:
I have a 99 4Runner auto 2WD:pat: ... I just finished paying off some debt and am ready to start modifying. Would it be possible to go from 2WD to 4WD auto? what parts and approximately how much would this swap cost me? I did consider getting a used 4WD, but i dont want to be stuck making payments, it feels great to be debt free . all input would be greatly appreciated.
i currently have a deckplate mod, rear locker, and riding on Bridgestone Duelers AT (non revo's).

Yes 2wd is easier to sas and if you plan on running a solid axle anyway i would definately suggest turning your 2wd into a 4wd. I have done it, and I prefer to sas a 2wd because that means we are not cutting up a perfectly good 4wd to do so. I say go for it and don't look back!!
