Pioneer AVH-P3200DVD Installed

Since I just finished my degree I decided to buy myself a graduation present. It seems these can be had online for around 325 shipped, but I snagged mine on the way to the lake. After everything, including the dvd hack to play while driving was $425. I'm able to use my old SD memory card for music which is the best because it fits flush with the unit when inserted. The usb/ipod connection obviously is coming in handy...the headphone jack used to be a sought after feature, now it seems to the the least innovative of them all It advertises as playing DivX files so I tried an .avi from our 350 movie collection and they work too! Happy to have some real EQ control finally instead of some generic presets! Bear with me its my first real piece of car audio technology

Pioneer's website claims it gives you 1-2" of lift, but I got 6" out of it

Also, trying to figure out the best way to wire up a ps2 slim under the seat. I've seen the cig lighter adapters for the power but I'm looking for a way to hardline it to the battery. Anyway I can do this while maintaining a constant voltage? Don't know if fluctuations will destroy the console. Any advice would be appreciated!

Nice install, I have the Clarion NX409 in mine and I love it. I have the slimline PS2 hooked up but I use the cig lighter adapter and it works great. I know you can hardwire it to the battery but I didn't like the idea of constant voltage, you could always install a cig lighter under the seat so its more stealth. I think Rockslide has a write-up on the cig lighter under the seat, i would check that out.

No, the vision is fine really and I ultimately didn't want another motor to worry about wearing and breaking.

Haha I'm at my buddy's lake house for the week. They don't play basketball anymore, just bet on it.

The store sold it to me, but I got a discount on the unit (last one in stock so they gave me the display installed a few days prior) so it just ended up being free essentially. I forgot the name but its like a j cable or something, about 40 bucks or google a relay-based workaround.

And I opted out of navigation. I heard some models don't allow you to play music while operating the nav so instead of constantly battling that I'd rather just have a separate unit on the dash.

I have a switch in mine, that way if a cop sees it I can just flip a switch and it goes back to the "warning" screen (if I get pulled over), flip it again and I'm back to the movie.

And my nav works while my music plays, it just lowers the volume when the lady is telling me to turn. It also has a tach option which gives me a digital speedo! I love toys
