Picture of my 1989 4runner
I forgot I had one lying around on the computer...thought I would share
The picture is a few years old, no more pin stripes. I had major hail damage - 90% of the car. State Farm took care of me and repaired and repainted the whole car. Of course, I didn't have hte stripes put back on....
We were up in Telluride for the bluegrass festival...not that you can tell since i cropped the heck out of the pic!
Enjoy

Nice truck man!
Reminds me of my dad's old truck. He had an 89 as well, except his was red and he didn't have the premium wheels. Good call on the removal of the pin striping, I don't like that type of sticker, or any type of thing on the paint of the car. Its suppose to be one color right?? Well, except for the new PTs with fake WOOD on the side

Hey Turboale
Like the picture, that's a really cool
truck! I like all the old truck body
styles. Most of the trucks now look
generic, you can't tell them apart.
I see an old 4-Runner around town and
I would guess it is at least 15-20 years
old. If I get enough nerve I will ask
sometime. It's really different looking.
It looks like the top on yours might be
removable? extra cool!

Yup, the top is removable, but haven't taken it off. I got a big dog so if I go somewhere I like to keep him inside at all times But I am tempted to buy a canopy for it and try it out!! Especially out here in Colorado!
For some reason, I love the old style. I like the early 90's 4runners too, but the newer ones just don't do it for me (sorry guys with newer 4runners ).
As for the festival, I'm not huge into Bluegrass music, but I am big into going places to hang out and listen to any ole music. Telluride rocks if you haven't been there, its really beautiful. We camped a couple of nights......its all about the atmosphere! I highly recommend it, but camp on the outskirts of ton. You wouldn't believe how they pack the campers in around town, you are practically on top of one another....I need some space.

Hey there Rob.
Nice lookin' rig. I really like the white 1st generation 4runners.
I had a hard time finding a white one here in my neck of the woods.
You could take the top off and secure your dog to the roll bar.
Have any other pic's.

Todd,
Nope, sorry I don't have any other pics at the moment. I don't have a digital camera or scanner either :\ Need to score one!
I like the white, but don't like the maroon (blood red) interior A bit much for me.....

Hey 89 nice ride! Someday I would love to have a first gen runner for a toy to take out and not have to worry about putting a scratch or dent in it. Someday someday maybe. Gotta get my current one done first.. (if there is such a thing) Your right about needing a digi cam or scanner. They are well worth the $$.
