Yes I gained 118hp on top of my 235 stock. Yes the SC adds an additional ECU on top of the one I already have.

TRD included all these (TRD BADGEDS/SUPERCHARGER) I thought the rig looks better stripped, this way nobody know its a monster underneath. What do you guys think?

It's good not to advertise to theives so I do like the stripped look but sometimes it's nice to have 'em to show off the money you spent and rub it in a little on the underpowered guys like myself.

Maybe just a couple small TRD badges look good.

Biff-

Hey, what did you pay for just the blower itself, and where did you find it??? I have seen em for as low as $3900 on the net, and a buddy of mine found one the other day for around $3500. If you could direct me to where you bought her that would be awesome. And yeah, it adds 118 to the crank plus the stock 235, adding up to 353 and prob just over 300 to the wheels. Torque jumps from 320 to 439 sending right around 400 to the wheels. Anyway you look at it, the sucker should scream, since bone stock it has been tested at 7.2-7.5 0-60. Thanks for posting the pics. You should be getting a max boost of 6 psi...and I already know of a couple that have pushed that to 9...ten is getting "borderline" according to TRD, and of course they never have or will warranty any stock changes to the blower.

And Biff, you should get a hold of gadget and have him make you his underdog kit...probably gain another 60 hp or so...I talked to him a couple of weeks ago about getting one for the 4.7L.

Again, looks awesome. Way to get the rest of us motivated...Guess I'm gonna have to order mine now...

Billy,

I got her at www.kinderhooktoyota.com for $3870 shipped. Speak to Eddie, eddie@berk.com at 518.758.9211. If you could get it at $3500 that is a sweet price, $3870 is the cheapest I found.

You say the underdog kit gives me 60hp more (dammm, I'm tempted but I think the better half will kill me if I spend more).

Biff

p.s. Tell him Victor, sent you and he might give you a discount of the above stated price.

Biff-

Hey, thanks a ton for the contact info. I'll give them a call when I get a chance...much appreciated. Once time and money allows, get a hold of Gadget, and check out his kit...I bet you could even get more out of it than 60hp with the 4.7L, right now it is catered to the blown 3.4L's. His website is www.urdusa.com

"Underdog Racing Development"

The guy is a genius...new injectors, plugs, etc, etc, etc....the list goes on and on.

Thanks again for the help. One killer ride you have there.

Hey Biff, that's one sweet ride!
How does it sound now with the supercharger? does it whine at all?

I see that you're in LA. Where did you get it installed? I'm in Orange County and have been thinking about getting one but I don't know if I can handle the $4k price.

That rocks! When my 3rd Gen gives out, I'm seriously thinking of going to a 4th Gen LTD V8 with the S/C! My buddy's Tundra with the S/C flies up the mountains out here.

I got installed at Longo Toyota $600 for the install. Every S/C whines, with mine it helps that I have the Borla Dual Exhaust, it masks some of the whine.

Hey Biff,

If you do not mind, can you report the gas mileage. I am guessing that you are only using premium. I really want the S/C but I am worried about the gas mileage. I could afford it, but the poor gas mileage is annoying over time. Thanks for the help. Later,

So far my gas milieage hasn't suffered as much as I thought it would. I'm averaging about 17.1 city and 18.8 highway. Ofcouse these number go down when I engage the boost but thats a given. Before the SC I was avg. slightly better numbers.

Hope this helps

Most of the time my driving is pretty conservative even with the SC.

Great!! I am definitely going to look into possibly getting one in the next few months. Are those numbers coming from the in-truck unit or are those numbers from averaging them on paper? Just curious. Thanks again for the help. You have not got any kind of boost gauge do you? I was going to ask about what RPM the engine starts making boost? I know that it is going to be low, but I am curious how efficient the system is. ANyway, thanks for the tips on the S/C. Have a great day.

The numbers are from my onboard computer. The new SC's don't need a boost gauge.

The on-board computer is incorrect, as has been discussed... Add it up with a Calculator. My cumputer says I'm getting 17.8mpg... I'm really getting 15.4mpg.

Your are running 92 oct right ?

UWF, what color is your 4-Runner ?
