*PICS 56K Don't Even Try Spark Plug Gap

Well today I received my order from Taylor Automotive. I ordered NGK V-Power Plugs and Wires. Shipping was fast. Came in 2 days. There was only one problem. One of my plugs didn't come gapped. But it's ok I can gap it myself.

Here are the pics:
sorry for the fuzzy pic. i have no skill in close up shots

I recommend buying from Taylor Automotive. Products come fast and nicely packed.

Everytime I go into an auto parts store I'm either told completely bogus information, or I hear it being given to someone else. I rarely trust what I hear in auto parts stores.

very few places around here stock NGK wires, but everybody carries their plugs. there's only one place i can get the wires around here.

however i've been using taylor wires in my yellow truck and they're great. only run about $28 or so from summit too, 8mm spiral core wires.

ngk is actually the approved oem replacement... ngk is good stuff..... the autoparts store people for them ost part are morons.... ngks show up in their computer, but most places either are too lazy to get them or say they are discontinued when they are indeed avaialble... they would rather sell you what they have in stock so they get a spiff on it though

Why did you have to replace the wires? Do you need to replace the wires everytime you replace the plugs?

yea those were the original wires. don't know how often you should replace wires but those ones were on since 95.

honestly, get yourself a digital multimeter and replace them when the resistance gets out of spec. otherwise, you really only need to change them if they get damaged.

Wires can crack and cause electrical shorts as they get older. This will cause the engine to miss. I have been shocked from touching them trying to figure out why my engine was missing. It's a heck of a jolt.
